Simon Jones Joins TXM as Senior Lean Consultant in Sydney

TXM is pleased to welcome Simon Jones to our consulting team. Simon will be based in Sydney. Simon has had an outstanding career in Lean and operations with Boeing and Qantas.

At Boeing Simon was trained by Japanese ex-Toyota Lean experts. His work ranged across production engineering, production line design and operations management. Simon rose to the role of Operations Manager for the whole Boeing Bankstown site. This gives him considerable practical leadership and change management experience to go with his deep understanding of Lean.

Previous roles have included the implementation of lean improvements to established manufacturing lines, project management of the transfer and set-up of complex aircraft component programs, leading an international multi-discipline design team as well as manufacturing engineering on commercial and military aircraft programs.

At Qantas, Simon was a Ground Operations Manager at Sydney Airport. This has provided him with excellent experience in a complex and demanding non-manufacturing environment.
