Justin Tao – Senior Consultant

Justin Tao is a highly accomplished Lean transformation specialist with more than 23 years of international experience across diverse industries in Australia and China. He holds a master’s degree in industrial engineering and is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt and PMP.

Justin began his career with Toyota, where he developed a strong foundation in the TPS (Toyota Production System). He subsequently expanded his expertise at Otis Elevator through the internationally recognised ACE (Achieving Competitive Excellence) operating system, and later at Kraft Foods, further strengthening his capabilities in continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Transitioning into consulting, Justin served as a dedicated Lean consultant at Alstom, before joining TXM and going on to build an impressive portfolio of engagements with some of the world’s most recognised organisations — among them AstraZeneca, DMG Mori, Saint-Gobain, Sony, Philips, Festo, Olam, Kmart and Kimberly-Clark.

Justin’s expertise spans Lean enterprise transformation, TPM, value stream optimisation, supply chain excellence, business process improvement, and leadership development. He is recognised for combining deep technical knowledge with a highly practical, hands-on approach that enables organisations to deliver measurable and sustainable business results.

Justin has also made significant contributions to the global Lean community. He has translated several landmark Lean publications into Chinese, including The Machine That Changed the World, Getting the Right Things Done, and Lean Solutions. His successful Lean implementation case studies have been published in the Chinese editions of Learning to See (2013) and Lean Practices in China II. In addition, Justin developed online TPM training programmes for Lean Enterprise China, helping to promote Lean knowledge and best practices throughout the region.
