Brent Johnstone – Senior Consultant
Brent Johnstone is a Senior Consultant, joining TXM Lean Solutions in 2014.
Brent is part of the TXM Lean Solutions team in Sydney, Australia and is a highly experienced Lean Manufacturing professional. Brent has had a 30 year manufacturing career, starting as a cadet engineer with Aerospace manufacturer, Hawker DeHavilland (now Boeing Aerostructures Australia).
Brent completed trade and professional qualifications in Mechanical Engineering as well as being trained by Japanese lean specialists at Boeing in Sydney, where Brent was Lean Transformation Manager. Brent also held a wide range of senior operational and design leadership roles.
Beyond Boeing, Brent has led major Lean Transformation projects across the aerospace, composites, rail maintenance, bus manufacturing and construction materials sectors. Brent brings considerable skills in improving plant layout and workflow as well as experience in achieving shop floor improvement in challenging cultural environments.
As well as his operational Lean experience, Brent brings to TXM Lean Solutions considerable experience in design for manufacture and in managing major change projects (including the relocation of Boeing Operations from Sydney to Melbourne).
